The new year is here and it brings new and exciting tournaments with it, The Aukland Open 2024 is here for you the 46th edition of man’s tournament is starting on 08 January 2024 to 15 January 2024, and the 37th edition of the women’s tournament begins on 01 January 2024 to 07 January 2024, at ASB tennis centre, Aukland, New Zealand.

Aukland Open 2024 also referred to as ASB classic because its sponsor ASB Bank is a part of the ATP Tour’s lowest tier ATP 250 which is concluded a week before the Grand Slam tournament. The Aukland Open is returning home after two years, as unfortunately, the 2021 and 2022 tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

History

The inaugural tournament of the Aukland Open took place in 1956, known as the Benson and Hedges Open. The name came from its sponsor and was played on grass surfaces until 1977. Form 1978 it is played on hard court tennis courts.
Before 2016, two separate tournaments of men's and women's were held, in 2016 the tournament was merged by ATP and WTP.
